Passing Through Bradford, Pennsylvania: An Exploration of Time
Growing up in Bradford, Pennsylvania has been an experience like no other. I’ve watched families stay in the area for generations, and seen others flee as soon as they turn 18 as if they couldn’t get out of here fast enough. It is a place where time feels either too slow or too fast, depending on who you ask. In Passing Through Bradford, Pennsylvania, I explore the complex relationship between how time feels to different people, and how the city is experienced by such individuals. Choosing to focus on the intimate details of the city and capturing scenes through the eyes of someone who wants to leave, but hasn’t been given the option yet, this project is an exploration of time and how personal the subject can be. Whether we have too much or too little, Bradford, Pennsylvania will always be here.
